Gulgong High School is a small, rural, comprehensive high school that has been successfully serving the Gulgong community for many years.

All members of the school community are highly valued and included in the decision-making processes of the school. Good communication throughout the school community is maintained through the School Council, P&C, Student Representative Council, the fortnightly newsletter and the many information nights and other events held at the school and in the community.

The school offers a broad curriculum catering for a wide range of student needs. The regular curriculum is expanded by the use of distance education and other flexible delivery options. The school is highly regarded for its vocational education programs.

Gulgong High School consists of well-resourced classrooms, practical rooms and library including the latest technology. A full sized gymnasium provides a first class venue for indoor sports and activities and the school is adjacent to the local sporting fields and swimming pool. Debating, music, drama and visual arts are included in the large range of extra curricular activities on offer.

The welfare of students is considered crucial in maintaining a positive learning environment. Many pro-active programs are in place to ensure that students feel safe and happy while at school. We are developing strong links with our feeder schools to ensure a smooth transition to high school.
