The school is located in a rainforest and bushland setting with extensive playing fields and 2 large COLAS available for a range of activities. Corindi is categorised as a Priority School, attracting additional funds to provide staff training, resources and teaching days in offering equitable opportunity and access to quality education to all students. The school is a focal point in the community and mutual respect is evident among staff, parents and students. Housing development in the area in recent years has seen enrolments increase to over 160 enabling the school to form a 7th class as well as the Principal's position being made non teaching although lack of employment in the area has slowed the school's growth.
