Templestowe Valley Primary School was established in 1969 and is situated on a spacious, elevated site that offers a quiet, safe and attractive environment, with established gardens and shade trees. The comfortable classrooms are well maintained, air-conditioned and heated. There is a well equipped Library and separate rooms for Music, Art and LOTE (Italian).

The school was fortunate to be funded through the Commonwealth Government BER program, building a Learning Resource Centre – opened in 2011 by Senator Gavin Marshall. This added an additional third block [Block C] with six new classrooms and computer resource facilities. The school oval has been upgraded with artificial turf through a National Pride Grant – further enhancing the educational programs offered by the school. A multi-purpose Hall provides us with space to hold school assemblies, Physical Education classes, drama performances and the Grade 6 Graduation.
